Groundbreaking at St. Katharine Drexel
story from the Catholic Star Herald

Father Joseph Ferrara, pastor of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, and Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio broke ground for the new Parish Life Center in Egg Harbor Township on Saturday, May 31.  The center alone cost more than $1.7 million and is being built to accomodate the parish community which has grown to 711 families.  The center will include a hall/place of worship, parish offices and eight instructional-meeting rooms.  The parishioners have been meeting since June 2000 for Mass, which is celebrated each weekend at the Egg Harbor Township intermediate school. Bishop DiMarzio blessed the ground on Saturday, then celebrated Mass for parishioners at the school.
